I smashed all my old hard drives with a hammer then burnt them

Shaped it so it would have a slight pistol grip, to make double handed casting feel awesome

But my finest work came later in the day when these magnets arrived.

They've got a fair bit of pull for little fellas - Thanks for the tip Stella

So now I can use these flimsy lures for big fish without being worried about the terminals being ripped out

One magnet wasnt enough to survive my "Being thrown into a bucket of water really hard" test - but 2 did the trick. Theres room for more but I'll see how this goes first

Here's the break away system in action - just imagine a big Jewie hanging off it

I'm currently making a triple strength version out of all the magnets I accidentally superglued together while mastering the technique.

These little magnets will jump 5cm out of your hands to latch on to their mate. And if theres superglue involved - they aint coming apart - even with 2 sets of pliers.

Nice. You should test different hooks on them. I don't know much about which types of steels are used in hooks, but the higher the content of iron in the alloy the better they'll stick.

Are you going to epoxy over them and/or paint them?

I was going to give them a coat with this stuff once the superglue has fully dried - it dries white so I thought I'd just leave it white.

I do have some nail polish in clear and a few other colours if you reckon that would do the job - it would be easier to do a thin coat of nail varnish.

Thumbs up

I like it.

If you soak the superglued magnets in acetone the glue wil dissolve.
