Yeah I see where you're heading - that would look great - But due to my Hoarding nature, if I can shove something under something else - thats valuable real-estate. Its currently being used as a stable for a "Jumbuck" |

When I made Chopper and Keithy out of steel from a metal clothes horse with plastic coating - I knew I was taking a risk
I only used it because I had left my other steel rods at work that risk has not paid off I left “Chopper” on a mates boat for a week and it oozes a black substance as it rusts and Keithy just got done again by a couple of carp this evening. That steel is way too bendy for carp Heads. They will be replaced with the fatter silver steel (on the right) Last edited by yellow door 1; 25-11-2021 at 09:16 AM. |

Thankfully everything I’ve made from my other steel rods is performing flawlessly. No rust and no bending.
The spike goes through pinky skulls like they aren’t there and the bigger Alderney ring has a 100% sucess rate of jumping the anchor chain and working as it should |

What ever you do don’t ever coat bait you plan to touch with bare hands with tuna oil
the pinkies love it but they love salted carp without oil aswell I had a bucket full of water with a rag in it to wipe my hands and it still went everywhere 25cm pinkies we’re nearly pulling the rod out of my oil coated hands. I would highly recommend the use of rubber gloves for bait up Last edited by yellow door 1; 10-12-2021 at 07:29 PM. |

Another Failure - the bigger the carp - the harder the head - and these heads were too hard for the Hawk

A couple of mates just set up their own design company
Here’s their first concept truck I thought the “Retractable, Bat Wing, Solar panel, Sun Awnings” were a nice touch https://thundertruck.co/ Last edited by yellow door 1; 24-12-2021 at 04:51 AM. |

I like the way they cover your feet, way more comfortable than having to wear wet socks I'd reckon.

Yeah especially in a tinny where the wind doesnt hit your wet socks - after about 10 mins, wet socks turn into a steaming sack and boil your feet
