Also cut some bigger holes in my charcoal chimney and bought a couple of temp gauges for my junk pile webers
I havent tested them on the coals yet but I know they work - I found an electric hair straightener on another junk pile and tested them with that

Nice one Spoonta - thats what I ended up doing - also spread the coals out a bit -
Now that I have a temp gauge I'm beginning to see how sweet a science, coal placement is. Turns out the reason my drumsticks were taking 3 hours to cook is coz I had my coals scattered sparsely (gaps between them) - and the weber was sitting on 100c after the initial inferno - I now understand why you stack the coals in one corner - Its so half the buggers dont go out .As usual I'll learn the hard way - but a lesson learnt through stupidity is a lesson remembered

Found a 90l tank on a junk heap the other day and I couldnt just leave it there.
It was looking a little bare so headed down to my rock finding dojo |

Cant make up my mind whether to go with creek pebbles to surround the big rocks or sand. I might go with sand
