So many people have trouble getting the angle of their transducer right.
Time for tilt trim power transducers - so you can adjust the transducers angle with a button on the dash

drop shot sinkers

6mm steel round bar
30lb mono loop
Wrapped in braid and locked on with a few strategic dabs of super glue.

Average size around 7gram

Biggest one 10grams

Might tie up some with 6lb mono loops so they break before the 10lb main line aswell

Sacrificial 4lb leaders so I don’t lose the whole rig if they get snagged

I have ordered some real ones - but the expendable will still have their place

Also been mucking round with different snells for drop shotting.

The style in the video gives a good 90 degree angle that seem to hold itself in place better than a palomar - palomars have an unsturdy grip on the hook eye so your hook often slips out of the correct angle - and the snell its reported to be stronger aswell.

Good for close in and vertical work

and the way I usually tie them gives a more laid back presentation - good for long distance casting or shallow presentations

Started with 8lb for the fresh water Reddies. But when I saw how effective that was - I just tied up some with 17lb and 30lb leaders for bigger stubborn winter creatures

I gave it a good go on those winter fish, for mixed results.
They worked a treat in the place where you used to hide your kayak, they didn't seem to be as effective as the normal jighead rig when doing long casts.

Yeah back in the day - anything used to work at that joint.

So far I've got nothing bigger than a reddy on the drop shot - but its early days

Yeah you know you had a good spot when you could muck around like that

Im not so cocky these days - although coincidentally - the last one I got was on the same tail - cut down and trimmed up - minus the gorilla.

Might be something in the raspberry frog colour spectrum they like
