Vanford vfc2000hgf

Every now and again Shimano do something reasonably sensible.
They have made a 2000 size Vanford , the VF2000HGF

Ashttps://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-VANFORD_F.html

Be real nice to have this size available in OZ.

I just don't understand why I cannot purchase this in Australia.
What the hell is wrong with Shimano Australia besides no vision ?

It's a shame as the 1000 is somewhat too much capacity and the 2500 is too much capacity too.

Shallow spools are the answer for those that don't need more than say 80m of top shot and a few winds of backing.

Some issues are showing the micro gears are failing under load, had the 2500 and 4000 size but got rid of them.I would'nt own any Shimano with micro gears installed.Do a YT search on Vanford issues to give you a better idea. The gears will fail under curtain conditions.

Yeh I'm hearing you, been all over Micromodule gear issues since the start of when they came out, especially in baitcasting reels.
