Should have seen me with a 30 year old 10 inch grinder with a blade that looked like it cut through some bank vault door in its past life...

I had the other half have the Ambo's on speed dial while I was doing it, she wasnt too happy being showered in sparks either while she held the plate, she did a good job not catching fire though - thoroughly impressed!

I've become a bit of a recycle nut lately, including using timber pallets that would otherwise end up in a skip. this is my last project, new fly tying bench for my room. Whole thing cost me less than #50 and a bit of time.

I was just wondering what the advantages of doing small cuts of meat in a spit roast were - googled it and was impressed with the out-come

4 hours under a foil blanket in the oven can make lamb fall off the bone - but it can dry the bugger out aswell

Thats a beauty Bear - when ever I've mucked around with pallets I dont have the patience or skills to get those twisty nails out with out splitting the wood.

Just youtubed it and it seems there are 100 ways it can be done

Just keep to the Kiln Dried timbers as some of the timbers used in those pallets can get pretty nasty.

Look for the stampings on the side for place of origin and the treatment process the timber went through.

I have a awesome clear pine pallet (smooth timber and some nice colours!) and I am thinking of making a standing rod rack.

What knot do you use to keep the stringer up against the posts when tightening it? Just made one myself

Hey mate. I tie a leftys loop knot first off and that goes over the first post. Then it's a locked blood knot for the hook. It will slip a cm on the cinch so if I want to tie a 14cm stinger I ise the 13cm post/hole and when it's tightened just use the 14cm hole/post to verify correct length. I use lure clips (laZy) but you can just larks foot it through the jighead eye.

All I need is some $2 shop suction cup shower containers. That way - after I cut off my 50th dud lure for the day, they wont be all over the carpet.
