Hi Guys...
Bought some SnapBack lures for the Masters comp. Spent about 5-10 minutes trying to get it onto a enviro jig, fish head. I just could not get it to go over the keeper prong. What is the trick to getting them on? ...Cheers Shane |

Those things are tough as anything, the finesse ones stretch about 40cm before they tear, although I wouldn't recommend testing this too often at about ten bucks or so for 5 or 6. Don't be scared to force them on, they wont break. They work quite well too, just try not to snag the jighead and loose too many!

Another warning for those snap backs
I had a heap of snapbacks and other plastics prerigged in the same box and the snap backs melted. I dont think they react too well with other plastics. The other plastics in there were fine. |

I gave it alot of stick, at one point I had almost half the lure past the keeper prong but will would not just jump over it. I guess requires a little playing around.

mate i cant really offer anything more helpful than use pure force, but the trick is once u ghet it over the prong, u sorta got hold it there for about 10 seconds otherwise it kinda pops back off

thats a bugger.
if the blowies kept knocking your snap backs off at plces like point walter and applecross youd be there forever rigging up. probably be rigging up more than youd fish. |

Shane,
Most shops should have the brochures on them. In it are some hints to rigging them along with pictures. Once you work it out you will find the next ones are easier. A summary is; push them up so the plastic gathers up around the head of the jighead and hold it there for 5 seconds. Release and do it again. It should then be right. In regards to storing them it is recommended to leave them in their bags. PVC plastics and Snapbacks just don't like each other. Bret |
