Hi flathead_boy,

I have used one briefly and really don't like the feel or lack of feel they have.

If you can afford the extra go a BD bluestone for $199.

You can really sense where the sp is in the water column. The live fibre i used had NO feel at all.....

I've not fished with this particular rod but I'd be surprised if it were a dud.
In Qld Live Fibres are pretty much the rod of choice for most of the state's 'non-affiliated' anglers. I was a long time Live Fibre user for casting at Moreton Bay tuna and it was a sensational rod.
Unfortunately work sent me interstate where Carp are the predominate species.

Hi craftsman,

I MAY be talking about a different rod..........

The rod i uised was a Wilson live fibre (I THINK!!)

They retail for just over $100.

No you may be talking about the same rod. Wilson just rebadge the Kilwell live fibre blanks and I can't find it on Kilwell's site.
Live fibre is a brand name I trust, but each to their own. Everyone's allowed an opinion.

gday
i was hoping to try the bream live fibre rod as i have 4 other live fibre spinstick on my 2 tss4s and 2 baitrunners. i love em out in moreton bak on the mackeral when they r there and the tuna. if the quality of the bream stick was the same as my others i would buy it.

I like live fibre rods, I also use them for mackeral spinning BUT I don't like the bream spin rod at all, I spent an hour or so using my mates and I much prefer my stella (which is much cheaper than what he paid for his).
While I didn't like the feel of the rod it did seem really tough so that is a plus.
