Sounds like an import - better hope your getting what you pay for, especially if you cant find details on it.

cheers

Also I think the current Stradic is the FH model so the FE could be a previous years model.... not sure.

I've got an FE. Richo is right they are the previous model to the FH.

Mine has been so abused I cant give accurate feedback on how long they last but mine is still kicking after about 4 years. I've never serviced it as access to the moving parts is limited. Its been dunked in chicken noodle soup, stepped on, Fallen off my bike lost and returned, left for years with out love and care.

First 3 years of its life were spent chasing whiting and the last year chasing bream. The only thing wrong with it now is the handle occasionally comes loose with all the jerky casts and retrieves. I have a pretty violent casting style and do alot of practice casting in the front yard. I also constantly swap from left hand drive for lures to right hand for bait fishing so this cant help the thread stay in showroom condition. Its been used 3 to 7 days a week since I bought itand for the last couple of years its closer to 4 to 7 days a week. The yarra and docklands bream have given it a hiding and it still comes back for more.

So if you actually look after it in any way shape or form you can expect many years of service from the FE

Yellow door, what was your reel doing in chicken soup? You didn't use it as a stirring implement did you?

Was pulling an all nighter and had one of those "just add hot water" noodle bowls. I was getting rid of a flatty and looked down and realised I had left the reel half submerged in the bowl.

The reel seized up very quickly. Liberal spraying with inox fixed it just as quick though.

LOL at the "stirring instrument" but thats what dirty bait knives are for.
