Struddy SPs Rod....

Calling all owners, previous owners, tackle junkies help on Strudwick SPS 6"9' 1-3kg 1 peice.....

What do you think of them in terms of value, castability of SP's, blanks, weight, grips, power, etc, etc.....any comment would be appreciated.....

Btw, are these the same blanks as the ones they use for sic stik???

struddy

I was looking at a sicstick pro 7 foot,1-3 kilo tonight in local tackle shop. retail for $249. Seemed a very stiff rod.
I liked it, has anybody used one,Hattori is this the same rod?

cheers muzz.

Nah, the sic stik pro is a new model, the SPS i'm referring to is a "softer" rod, but its discontinued........

I've got a sic tik pro 1-3 kg, and IMO its one of the better value rods around......

I'm still trying to find out info about the Struddie SPS, but theres little information on them......

blanks....

after some research from the forums, i've come to two conclusions.....

a) SPS blanks are replaced by SicStik blank

or

b) SPS blanks has been replaced by Softbodz blanks (not finnese)

confused more than ever......

I've got a struddy sofbodz....

if the continuation of the tps is the sofbodz finesse then would the sofbodz = sps? does anyone know?

well anyway, i love the sofbodz, it is a soft with plenty of grunt. casts well and matches perfectly with the cappy i've got with it.

Also - bought it for $220 at bluewater during their 30% strudwick sale, excellent value IMO. hope this helps

yeah i've heard before that its the sofbodz that replaced the sps so I think thats the right one.

the price of these rods also match up better than the sicstik alternative

I picked this one up from bluewater myaree, im pretty sure it was the last one. A few months back I went and checked out all their sp rods and liked the feel of this one but it was $320 at the time. the guys there told me struddies werent selling well hence the strudwick sale- i guess to clear out their stock

clearing stocks....

Herm.....clearing stocks, not selling well, 30% off.....sound like to me that they're planning to not sell struddies in the future.....
