$500 bream outfit

just found out my local tackle store is about to close down so they are having a sale with 50% off everything. while it is sad to see them go, i'm not going to miss this sale

i've got about $200 to spend to get myself a good bream out fit, i'm thinking about getting a studwick sic stick pro, (not sure of weight) 2pc.

can anyone comment on the rod and tell me what type of reel to go with it

thanks

Mark

Ps will be getting some lures as well if you have a fav please tell what it is

thanks mate.

hoepfully someone will be able to tell me what reel to match to it.

if your interested the tackle shop is Toowong Tackle. i think they would be able to do something throught the post if your keen to get a reel for yourself.

gday mate.......

i've got a sic stik pro 1-3kg and matched it with a diawa capricorn....size 2000.......very well balanced......

you'll also find that a similar sized shimano stradic matches the rod beautifully.....
both reels should retail around RRP $230-250

best is to try them on your rod to see which one feels more "nicer"....

goodluck

G'day Keenfisho,

Thanks for the heads up! I think I will go check them out first thing.

Either a Stradic or Capricorn in 1000/1500 size would be the go for your dollars. Or a step down the Symetre or Laguna.

When did this sale start and how much did they have left today?
It's a fair drive for me but could be worth it :P

found out about it on the ausfish site, in the for sale section.

not sure of the details, best to give them a call first. it's a shame to see them go as they are within 3 minutes drive from home.

now i'll have to have a look around for a new tackle store.

Just gave em a call mate. Only 1 x 7" 1-4kg Pro left so if you have'nt got one put aside you might want to get on to them.

No stradic or cappies left either.

Good luck and let us know how you go.

Decided to wander in today for a look as was down in the CBD for work.

There was a Struddy Softbod Finesse 6'6 1-4kg on the rack so I asked the man what sort of deal he could do.

$295

Happy man as this rod RRP is nearly $500!

Suits my Stradic 1000 nicely to.
