G loomis sr842-2 GLX

Well, I busted the tip off this rod and now contemplating next move. The tip is about a 3cm piece and it's a clean brea. Should I....

Use loomis expeditor service and pay ~$310 for a new rod

Or

Get it repaired for about $30 and spend the $300 I save on a light shore spin rod?

Or sell it as is and buy a cheaper bream rod plus the shore rod.

I need the light spin rod ($200 ish)for bream and whiting off beach and occasional flatties and salmon in estuaries and rivers matching a 2500-4000 stradic. I haven't found one yet, but Thinking about a 8-9ft 2piece rod rated about 5kg for throwing 5-15g metals and larger plastics. Would be great to get suggestions about that too.
