Check out the Savage Gear Roadrunner series. I've been using the 2-5kg 7' model for the last few months and for the price ($130) I can't fault it. There's a 6-10kg 7' four piece model that might suit your 4000.

Seems much better rod than I normally use

They come with a pretty nice case that would offer more than enough protection for a bus or car trip (although I'd use something a bit harder like PVC pipe for plane trips). I'll take a picture of the case and put it up tonight if anyone is interested.

Well my issue would be its a local bus not a travel bus . But it certainly feels good in the hand .

Could I fit the savage in a back pack or just in the cloth bag and carry it .
Just thinking ahead

Here's how I have the rod when I'm bushwalking into spots. It should fit like that onto any backpack that has a drink bottle holder and I use the pack's compression strap near the top to hold it against the bag. In the picture the case looks pretty long, but with the backpack on it ends up being no taller than my head. You could just use the soft cloth bag it comes with (or even no bag at all) but I like the extra protection the case offers.

For the 4000 Biomaster there is the 7'2" 5-10kg heavier model to look at, depending on fishing needs.
