How much to sell for

Hi Guys,

Haven't used my boat in ages.

Question is how do you know how much to sell it for? they are rearely for sale in Australia and I have no idea what to charge

If you dont know my boat, I have a stratos 186XT with a Merc Optimax 115 2 stroke

I think its a 09/10 model

Minkota cable steer lecy 70lbs I think

2 x humming 700 series sounders

If pretty good condition. Might need a couple of batteries.

Trailer needs a bit of work and is currently unregistered.

Not looking to make a killing on it like everything else I sell.

Cheers
Chris

Yeah I think that's a pretty fair price. Motor and all the electrics still work?

Whats wrong with the trailer? Looks ok in the photos.

Having bought a small bass boat last year and keeping track of the market for a while, i think 18k is selling yourself short. I would try for low 20's at least. Smaller bass boats sub 25k don't seem to last long, especially in Sydney.

When people are asking 15 for an old 435 hornet and 40hp motor, 18 is selling yourself well short - as long as the engine isn't totally fried etc

Hey Chris, even with the work required, I think around 25K is fair, especially considering the cost involved with a new boat with the current USD.
BTW - what happened to the fishing, you used to get out most weekends ?

If it's in the condition of the duffrod I bought from you $25k no doubt.

From your description of that rod I would say that you understate condition, so would imagine this boat to be well looked after also.

The boat itself is great condition.

I still go fishing but no where near as much, I play a lot of golf now.

Yeah and with a ally trailer for sure. If all it needs is the trailer re registered and new batteries. Depends how quickly you want to sell it. If you got everything sorted and ready to go I'd ask low 20's.
