I've ordered from them several times. Depending on when you place the order but I have ordered sunday night here and was at my front door that coming Friday. Have always had them delivered within 8 days of ordering.

I think Japan has holidays from 1st to the 6th of this month so that may delay any purchase by a day or so. Plat is very reliable and Japan Post very fast generally 1 week from order and you will have it in your hand.

My biggest gripe is getting the items in the cart - going through the rigmarole of going through the purchase stages and address etc and then having to wait for an email which tells you nothing at all postage related.

Except for what looks like a handling fee?

Got to wait for the postage quote to come in the next 2 days no doubt in the new week...

"Frustrating"...

Be patient Slazmo it will all happen. I have dealt with Plat for many years and although his postage procedure and the handling charge are not like many others I can assure you of their integrity. It is an easy process to open an account with them and simply sign in to avoid many of the hassles you have experienced. I hope your dealing with him only gets better from here on in.

I dont doubt at all their integrity at all (didnt want to sound that way) - however the postage calculators for both companies is impossible to use and the need to do the whole purchase only to wait for a postage quote is a little silly then to receive the email and have to go again and confirm purchase - too much clicking.

But I will persevere as I do want the only BFS rod they have available...

All good I shall wait for the email - tis the weekend

Do you know if they charged you USD or Jap Yen for your purchase?

Cost me for postage - $40 (Inc picking / handling, insurance and postage).

And from what I found Plat is priced in Japanese Yen - not like other sites which run in US Dollars... So makes it a little easier to some degree.
