LuckyCraft NW 52 Assist Hooks

G'day guys,

Newbie question here:
Decided to buy a Luckycraft NW pencil 52, in yellow to chase some bream on surface. I took it out the other day and the bream just were not hooking up. So I have bought some Ecogear ZX assist hooks.
My question is, should I mount them on the front ring or the back?
And if I do mount them on the back, will I snag up more often?

Thanks in advance

On the back normally works pretty good with surface lured that sit tail end down in the water.
