Smile Upgrade time: Bass BC reel that will chuck a 1/8

G'day guys, so starting on a bit of a bass mission and acquiring some new tackle, i've always loved baitcasters as a nice bit of variety away from spin gear and am looking to upgrade my poor old shimano Caius which will only lob really chunky lures. Looking in the 100ish size range, left hand wind preferable, mid range budget but if a standout option exists I could invest up to 500. Needs to chuck 1/8th as its bottom weight range.

Any ideas, or reels that come darn close, let me know
Cheers

If you don't need to go UL, maybe look into the Daiwa SV spool (shallow or deep) - it can manage down to around 3 gram. The spool will fit into a T3 platform and ryoga 1016(H) without modification. I have two, a shallow one for my T3 MX and a deep one for my Ryoga 1016H. Highly recommend.

Good call. And the new one will be fitted with a SV spool.

Definitely this reel if you're after finesse - http://www.japantackle.com/Megabass/...68Hedgehog.htm

I've got one with upgraded Air BFS bearings and it will easily throw 1/8. It also comes with two spools which is pretty handy. They've come down in price a bit since i bought mine just over a year ago.
