Shimano and daiwa Reel ranges

You'd think that this would be simple to find but I can't ..... Can someone give me a link to the info or put the light spinning reels in ascending order of quality for me ? Particularly daiwa but shimano would be great too

Thanks

Quality/featured I guess. I'm thinking it's something like

Aird
Freams
Caldia
Sol
Luvias
Certate
Exist
Steez
Branzino

Why they can't just list then in order on the website I have no idea.

Shimano is easy to figure out:

1) Stella

2) the rest

I think you have them pretty much in order for what you want Dave. Maybe the last 3 can be jiggled around. The website lists the newer models first as they come out.
There's also the emeraldas and presso range. Some people use them for bream too.

Quality vs. Stats vs. Dollar's vs. Longevity...

some of these are not able to be quantified and some can't be qualified.

Why do you ask primarily?

I'm middle range looking for bang for buck so my choices are around freams, caldia, sol, luvias. ... I was looking to get an idea of where they sit in the "official" lineup but realised there wasn't one. Possibly because daiwa don't see the world that way either .... Maybe there is no hard ranking so to speak.

I basically was after the same in shimano so I can research and evaluate my mid range options. I expect everyone will say luvias but too be honest I'm probably more thinking stradic ci4 , caldia, sol ... Or... Well not really sure what's up or down from a stradic ci4

The sol2 is also a good reel. You used a caldia before so you know what they are like . Freams is very similar I have the luvi, freams and caldia. They are all good but luvias is a class above the other two. Ive never owned a sol2 but id say it would sit between the luvias and the other 2 I have.
Ps. Should have bought that luvias that was for sale from Jeremy

The stradic is also a good reel.

This is the list for the Shimano reels i guess this is the order they see the reels go in.
SPINNING
STELLA FI
BIOMASTER FB
SUSTAIN FG
STRADIC CI4+
RARENIUM CI4+ FB
RARENIUM CI4
STRADIC FJ
TECHNIUM FD
SAROS FA
SYMETRE FL
AERNOS FB
EXAGE RC
SEDONA FD
ALIVIO FD
CAZNA FA
SIENNA FD
SIENNA RD
HYPERLOOP FB
etc,
I hope this helps mate.
The Stradic Ci4+ is a gun reel and the complex ci4 + is really nice that saying Daiwa have their reels also.I think Shimano could bring out some great reels like the Soare,Excese,Cardiff etc.

Hey Sloth,
The luvias is the best reel for the Dollars for sure.
But if you want to stay on a bit of a budget then the Caldia 14's are pretty good to, i have 2 of them and can't fault them, My livi 2004 is just a little but lighter and smoother.

I have a stradic ci4+2500 and same in the sol 2. Both really good mid range. The sol feels really solid and smooth and the stradic feels a lighter but also very smooth. Like the drags on both. If possible nothing beats trying the reel on the likely rod to be used for balance. Do this and you will know which you prefer. Either way I would buy both again. (Would love to try a high range reel for a day but cannot justify the money when these reels do the job I want and I have never had a bream push a reel of this size to its limits).
