Sunline super pe 8lb

What price are you willing to pay for this line. I'm seeing it for around $30 + $10 delivery. Should I keep hunting or pull the trigger

I wouldn't take it if it was free. I had random breakages with it and ended up binning it. Lots of people have no issues with it though, and it was great for a while (about 6 months use - 3-4 times a week when issues started).

I got mine through Adam - was around that price if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the heads up - were you using the 6lb or the 8lb - and which colour - the green or white

8lb green. Like I say though as far as I'm aware it's only a small number who had breakages with the 8lb (I think 6lb was a bigger issue). Might have just been a dodgy batch

Yeah cool - I'll give it a crack and see how it goes. I've heard if you get a good batch it can last for years.

Dinga.com do 34 bucks but free shipping when you sign up with them.

Used to get it for 20 bucks from Japan.

So too will a glass of water, if you dont drink it!
I've been using both white and green in 8lb for a few years now. Using my gear twice a week or better and giving it a washdown after use, i expect to get at least 12months from it. Maybe 18. I have had times where it breaks unexplainably in the working section but this generally at the end of the timeline forcing me to strip some from the spool til i am happy and confident in it.

With hindsight probably what my issue was. I worked it hard ... 3-4 sessions a week for over six months in docks water.

Thanks for the heads up - the old "$20 from Japan" deal is the one I was hoping to find.
