Biatcaster for newbie
Hi All, just after some recommendations. I'm looking for a $200 or under baitcaster to give to my old man who has never used one, so after something reasonally robust and easy to use. It will be on a 4-6kg stick for chasing cod.
Thank you Wes |

Shimano Callisto CSO-100 - one which I have and love it.
Great beginner reel the Callisto's are, otherwise a Caeane which is surprisingly better than a G series Curado in all regards... P.s. make sure you stick with the 5.0:1 gear ratio's also... Last edited by BOOMBOOM4216; 11-01-2015 at 10:50 PM. |

Those Quantum Exo baitcasters are extremely good value.

If you can get the type R you can pimp out the bearings and have a weapon of a reel.
