how to make a fish look small *picture*
So i got a nice 41cm TTT bream on the weekend and i got the photo from a mate and was dissapointed with how small the fish looks aha.
Looks like a 35cm bream! Anyway im sure you all have similar photos in your albums post up a pic and length of a fish that you made to look like a pipsquek and we can all have a laugh. Heres my contribution, escuse the tongue.

It doesn't look that small. I can tell it's a good bream by its bulk and its blue nose. Well done!

Classic looking big Mandurah bream!
I don't have too many because I am a fairly small bloke, but generally kayakers would have plenty due to the larger background object and its hard to use 'go go arms' without getting caught out :P Except for gez... he is the fish holding master

Most of my photos are the same because I like to turn the fish towards the camera instead of side on.

If you are big or you have big hands it makes it incredibly hard to make a smaller fish look its actual size.

I think the pic looks great and i like a pic to look proportionate to the person.
With the camera technology these days you can crop and zoom the fish in to show detail. Angles and pushing the fish out is cool too.Just have to catch another decent fish and test out the angles until you get it right. As i said cracker fish pal and nice picture also pity about the head hahaha. |

Monstaf1sh i know your pain, too many photos taken by passerbys who dont know how to take a full picture that isnt full of back ground.
I had a big salmon from the dawesvile cut with the sun in the background ruining the image and making it look "fuzzy" bit of a killer really good fish btw! Mr perch haha no not this photo, i spend to much bloody time with those kiwi folk ahhah |

Caught this flatty a few years ago. Was out with a Client and was showing him the retrieval speed he should be using and BANG i was on. Think from memory it went around 70cm , got the client to take a few pics but they all made the fish look small

Big difference hey? It all depends on the angle to the camera that you hold the fish. I find if you hold it at around 45°to the camera you get the fish to look bigger and the more you extend your arms towards the camera just like magic the larger the fish appears.
