Washable ?
Noted this feature on several Daiwa models. Does this mean a light freshwater spray and a wipe or can they be hosed.

Warm wash. Tumble dry.
magseal reels are happy under a mist setting on the hose or in the shower. Hosing is maybe ok but i still wouldn't with mine |

Damp rag and wipe.
Don't spray/wash/submerge. There really shouldn't be any need to, and it would probably do more bad than good.

I agree . The only reels I've ever washed were Alveys.

Under a tap, showerhead they'll be fine but I would tighten up the drag if you want to preserve drag performance.

It means "if your submarine is fitted with rod holders - buy an alvey instead"
As Echo says - never wet a reel. There is no need . Run a dribble of water on the line to wash salt out of the forward part of the braid where knot strength is crucial then wipe the reel with your grandads squeezed out undies. Use a chux instead if your grandad puts up a fight.
