Gen black drunknmonky plus unitika
Just picked up a monky and rapala sling bag on a Sunday morning- as you do.
The line class is 1-2kg (4lb) for the rod but all the expensive line I bought from jap is bigger than 4lb. The line I have in my possession is unitika aorika ii, have it in 6,8,10 lb. bought up big when it was 50% off. Seeings this line is really thin compared to most can anyone tell me if I would get away with 6 or 8 lb unitika? Whilst I have you what reel and line do you match yours with? I'm prim using for soft plastics, saw that the rod can't handle 1/4oz which sucks for where I sometimes go fishing but had too many good reports about the rod on here to ignore. Manno you'll be online today no bet! Share some of your wisdom (again )

Hopefully I've interpreted this question correctly...
If you are concerned that the Unitika lines will be too thick to use with this rod, worry no more. They are very thin and fit through the guides even with an awkward albright knot that hasn't been slimmed down properly. The rod is fantastic but yes the 1/4 ounce jigheads do take their toll on the tip. I've seen at least 2 break whilst throwing slugs. I had a 2004 Caldia with 8lb Unitika line running on mine without any drama. Hope that helps shed some light on things for you, failing that and I've got the question wrong hopefully I can give you some more direction to assist with your question.
