stelaa 2500fi line suggestions?

Hey guys. Decided to match a 2500 Stella up to a Loomis rod for chasing Jew and other bigger stuff. Wondering wat braid to put on it??? Any suggestions? Also does anyone know how much pe line they take. Maybe a pe line between 1-1.5. Just wondering how much it will fit too.

Thanks!

As you will find out. The 2500 FI is a pretty versatile little reel.

I have 25lb Hollow Tasline loaded on mine which I use for landbased barra fishing and the occassional bit of bottom bouncing.

Not sure about capacity as I have only been spooled once with it and that was in 5 to 10 seconds. From first take to when I cut the line. There was only aorund 10m line left.

In the future, you can try using Google Chrome to browse Shimano Japan website: http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/reel/3504

I can fit 200m of PE1 Toray Radius on my 2500 stradic that I use for jigging, so surely the stella spool will be able to take at least the same amount, if not a little bit more.

the guy at my local was recommended daiwa shinobi in either 10 or 15lb. they come in 270m spools. anyone used it before? felt thin in the hand. was thinking the 15lb would be heaps. would probs come close to getting a whole spool on. they didnt have much else that tickled my fancy though so im not sure if i should just order some off plat
