Kayak Classic Sunday 22 June start location

Guys still waiting on confirmation of the start location but it will either be:
  • Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club; or
  • Near the Clansman Hotel on the Murray River.

I can now advise that the Start location is:

Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club (MOFSC)

Please feel free to drive in, unload your gear onto the beach but then move your vehicle out to the street so as to not congest the MOFSC premises

Am I the only one put out by this change?

Gees that is just great, 50 yaks in the canals how many drop ins are going to happen this round. Going to have to get in early so that I can get a park close by. Don't want to burn up too much energy too early by walking back half a k past 50 cars. It will be a long paddle to get any where near where I pre-fished! It would also explain why I saw no one out on the Murray this weekend. Why was there a location change and when was this change first mentioned/considered.

you can fish 20 yaks just in the marina itself ... yes its a 3 km paddle to the best spots away from the crowds but you have 7 hours ... and the local bird watching is pretty dam good too ...

Is this round a Hobe Final qualifier?

Sorry Craig, hate to be picking on you tonight as you do a great job with the classic and kayak comps. I just read a post saying that the kayak rounds on May 18 and June 22 were Hobe Final qualifying rounds. I could have sworn that it was mentioned at the last round that the next qualifying round was on the Swan again.

There are reasons for the location change but nothing I can state publicly
