I've got the same model and love it!

Its matched with a 2500 steez and used for jack fishing too chasing tuna

I love the power it has, you can pull jacks or bass outa there homes with ease. I've even got a 110 ish longtail tuna boatside in about 10 mins.

any light 2500- 3000 reel should be fine hey, just have a feel around with some.. mine matched with the steez is a dream

thanks mate,

whats the heaviest lure you've cast on yours?

I put the 1000 Sustain on an that was too light, the 2500 Sustain felt to me a touch heavy for my liking. I will have to find something around the 220 - 240 grams.

The ci4 +'s are really nice, pretty similar to the sustain..

the 2500 is only 195 gram and the 3000 200 from memory, only difference being the deeper spool.

Or if you want to swing the Daiwa way, the new Lurvias's are hard to beaat

well I got to see how the rod performed this morning, an I must say its a great rod!

about 5 - 10 mac tuna on it with the following being the biggest on this rod.

I did however get onto a fairly large Spanish mackerel I'd say around 10kg but made short work of the 20lb leader/11lb braid; busting @ the knot in about 8 seconds.
