my 2500 rarenium's a rippa mate .. good drag and smooth wind. have knocked over a good jew with this and it didn't miss a beat

i've noticed handle wobble on a few used ci4s but i always thought these were almost identical structurally (apart from the ratios)

Ci4 are better but ratio on the rarium is lower if you like that loose Daiwa feel.
cheers nereus

In my opinion from two reel
Get Stradic Ci4+ newer is not always better but in this case it’s better has the X-Ship and lighter.
The rarenium feels smoother when free, but when you have a decent fish/weight on, X-ship comes to play better.
apart from that you will 100% look back when new rarenium Ci4+ comes out maybe to Aus.
As you said wait for your b-day or Christmas for rarenium Ci4+ Keep saving ^^

I had one for about a year. Best Shimano I owned. Smooth and solid and I thought pretty good looking, plus spare spool.

Love mine, and the lower gear ratio is better for rolling hard bodies, especially in my impatient hands

Both reels are much of a muchness in quality but it's the spare spool and most importantly the slower retrieve rate of the rarenium that wins me over. I own two of them and they haven't let me down yet.

ive had a rarenium 100 since christmas and is the best reel ive own in a while. ive used stradics ci4s, ci4+s, fjs , fe, sustains and the rarenium is the stand out for me. the 2nd spool helps alot

I've got 4 of them and rate them highly. Light, good features for the price point and spare spool
