Is there a reason a lot of guys say 2004 luvi is because the 1003 are newer and most have had theirs for a tad longer? The 2004 is 15g heavier than the luvi and the only other thing I can see different is line size to capacity the 2004 is better by 20metres.

I did have the fj stradic 1000 on the itchy twitchy n that bulldozers bream to the boat but that had 5kg drag and I just gave that to the boy.

Azz how u finding major craft rods?

Mate I run 2506s
New luvias
U get 150m of braid on no dramas and 3kg drag
And there super light

I had 2004 and the 2506 cast better IMO

I have a 2004 luvias on a itchy twitchy and it works real well. It's my favorite combo. Also have a 2506 on a wicked weasel. ....

I'm not a bream angler's backside but i'm guessing fishing racks they need to be extracted quickly before going ping? I would go for a 2004 High speed model

Mate if you are fishing racks
ya want balls
and fast line recovery
So you can crank em out
Go a 2506, The luvias are light enough to use em as a light reel
and ya would want just a bigger reel to put on your rod if your fishing heavy structure anyway
Thats how i see it anyway
Also you can use if for Jewwies or what ever ya want to if you get a bigger sized reel

2004H = 75cm per turn

2506 = 71cm per turn

small difference in the drag between the 2, but thats nothing a bit of thumb spooling won't fix

I am currently running a few Majorcraft setups myself, they are as follows.
Majorcraft Crostage 7' with a Daiwa Luvias 2506
Majorcraft Crostage 7'6" with a Daiwa Luvias 2506
Majorcraft Skyroad 7' with a Daiwa Fuego 1000
Majorcraft Volkey 6'9" with a Daiwa certate 2506

All reels are running 10lb Unitika Aorika braid and balance out beautifully. Hope this helps.
