Montebello Islands trip - a couple of spots left!

Hi all!

The Montebello Islands are a fishermans mecca, one of those places that most of us yearn to go to, if only once. The seclusion of the place means that it hasn't had the fishing pressure of a lot of other places and the variety of fishing targets will test even the toughest gear.

I'm lucky enough to be coming on a trip booked through the shop (Compleat Angler Nedlands) aboard Blue Lightning Charters with Chad Mills for 8 people in September. We haven't yet filled the available spots (the first trip in July is almost sold out with one spot left, this is the second one with only a couple spots available) and are looking for some like-minded fishos to join us.

The charter is out of Karratha (closer to the Montes than Exmouth) aboard their 55' Conquest with a 26' Boston Whaler also available to use. We can even hire out their 40' Blackwatch for some serious game fishing! The trip is 7 days in total - arriving in Karratha 4th September, on the boat 5th - 11th and leaving Karratha on the 12th September. All meals etc are provided, byo alcohol and they will divide up the catch at the end, up to 20kg of fillets each if we want, to take back with us. So far we have a mix of guys coming and all seem to be lure junkies looking at targeting GT's on popper and sickbait, trolling and jigging with metal jigs or SP's. If you want to bait fish, there is that option. You can bring your own gear or use the supplied equipment (or I'll have a bit of gear as well I can let people use). I'll be there to help out all the customers with advise if needed as well as the gear.
