Shimano Raider II Travel Inshore Rods
Howdy guys,
I just like to get your thought on Raider travel rod 904, anyone out there has used them or owns one. I like to get one for cast lures of beach for salmon, use them of the rocks and Jetties for snappers/jewies. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers Ash |

Check out a Generation Black shorehunter. Mine arrives tomorrow, going on specs alone it should be a nicer rod.

i'd say for casting metal slice up to 40g off the beach for tailor or salmon, this stick is perfect, with a 4000 - 5000 reel spooled with maybe 25-40lbs braid...
for snapper it should be fine but if encounter a big one you will have fun... for jewie i assume you cast lures in the wash with this rod, to me it is a bit light and short for the job...casting and hooking up shouldn't be the issue but landing could be hard...

Mainly it will be used for casting of the beach for salmon, it will be used for snapper but not very often.
It will be matched with 4000 size reel and possibly 20lb braid |
