Angry Thieves...

Hi, I'm not a big poster, but just wanted to put this out there..

I fished the Gamma round at Port Macquarie this weekend, and during the weigh in, some lowlife cockroach pinched a couple of lure trays and my lunch bag (guess they thought it was a tackle bag) out my boat. It could of only happened in the short time I was up on stage weighing in, as my boat was on the beach right behind the stage, and what they took were down in the footwells so they were going through boats looking for them....

Tough lesson learned and I suppose I'm just glad they didn't pinch the rods that were still strapped down on deck, but it was still costly, It takes years to build a good lure collection, and its hurts like hell losing them like this...

So will be locking everything up before leaving the boat in future...

I was in the White Labsport if anyone did happen to see some scumbag ratting through it.... They would of taken a couple of trays of harbodies (cranks and surface) and a maroon lunch bag (which later was found on the beach and handed in to organisers) Also, I hope no one else got ripped off either.

Like I said, just wanted to post this up as a warning to others, as you don't really think just how much money is sitting in that little Plano box....

A real shame mate. Have you looked at any possible recovery through home and contents insurance?

Sorry to hear that mate and thanks for the warning as I have a habit as do most of leaving my boat unattened during weighins.

Hi Morgo,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Can't stand a thief either.

Please send me a private message with your name and address and I'll send you some lures to get you started again.

Cheers,
Paul

Ummm... Wow guys, I don't know what to say!
Paul, Dukester, and HB tragic, that is awesome! I'll definitely pm you guys. You guys are the reason I love fishing, you meet some awesome generous people.

Yutryn, yeah it was mine, I was there watching it and my son said Dad that looks like yours, I said it does look like mine but Na, mines in the boat. It wasn't until after the presentation I went to grab it and realised it was mine and the trays were gone... It took a while but dawned on me I'd been ripped off.

Hey mate. That sucks. I don't have a heap of lures but feel free to choose two or three from the below. I was going to trade them but that fell through. Given the circumstances happy to see you take some.

All are shallow - Atomics Hardz Crank, Damiki PAE MU-SP, Ecogear PX45 - the kozami 60 pencil has rusty balls so u can have that as a free fourth one (if it's crap feel free to chuck it).

Just PM your address and what you'd like
