Rod recommendation
Guys I am after some advice.
I am looking to buy a shorter bream rod to fish tight structure, docks, jettys etc. All of my rods are 7ft and longer. I am thinking of 2-4 kg rod between 6'2 to 6'5 maybe. light weight but ballsy enough to pull out a good fish if I am lucky to hook one ![]() I am thinking up to $200 at this stage. Fire away your favourite "shorty" and I'll have a closer look at them. Thank you in advance. PS: Fan boys and sponsored / field anglers unbiased opinion will be considered as well

Not sure if you have seen this Alex
http://lureandfly.com/2011/10/05/fis...d-short-of-it/ Marginally over budget and maybe a bit light.

Loomis Bronzeback 6'3",2-4kg and plenty of balls, I have seen them a touch over the $200 mark.

Forgot to mention the rod will be predominantly used for fishing with light weighted plastics and atomic semihards.. So should be of a fast action but not superfast like loomis dsr 820

The 6' Nitro Vapor will haul bream out of structure very easily.
Its super light and crisp but just a little over your 200 buck budget. Ive tried several different rods and its the vapors that i keep picking up! |

The Humble T-Curve 691 ( dont quote the numbers ) 2-4kg is short and has plenty of power I love my 7ft rods , but this little rod has always had a spot in the rack.

I believe these are pretty good - a bit shorter than what you requested but have plenty of balls to pull fish out of structure:
G Loomis SJR 6400 IMX 5' 4" 2 - 6 1/64 - 1/8 Ex-Fast Mag-Light $235.00 USD |

He does! Both are really crisp blanks. The 6'4" has xxxfast taper and the 6" is xfast taper.
