In the market for a new reel

So after my diawa aird 2000 got a little bit of salt water in it its now stuffed.
So im looking for a new reel under $150
can anyone point me in the right direction cheers

Shimano something less than Stradic for that price, maybe Symetre.

Daiwa Legalis, ecooda black hawk look the goods for the price range, Shimano Aernos FA or check out the for sale pages on here.

someone on our local page is selling Daiwa ballistic 2500sh in excellent condition for $180 would that be worth it

Daiwa caldia 190 dollars with express postage from digitaka. It's 40 dollars over ur budget but trust me its alot more worth it and it will last longer then the other reels its even got mag seal!!

Mate, as Nix said, go a stradic when the next pops up. Very reliable!
Edit- the aernos would be great as well. Had on for a year before I lost it over the side of the yak, and it was un breakable, even after 3 hardy dunks!

Stradic's for sure - unbeatable compilation of quality, technology and bang for buck!

I am a sucker for longevity and quality and the Stradic is very 'me'. I love them to death!!!

Dude I've got the Black Hawks in at work, they are sweet reels man! I set my old man up with one and he loves it!

Aluminium body, carbontex drag, direct drive handle, all for around a 130 bucks how can you go wrong!

and what rating? thinking 2500 i have a 2-4kg rod
And the black hawks like calling my name haha

That's the one! The FJ's are a work horse, a lot of people here have them ad have had them for years!

The 2500 FJ is rated at 5kg from memory - carbontex drag washer upgrade could near double that - but do you need it??

As the reels come out of the box they're a very capable offering, hence why I have 3 of them (1000, 2500 & 5000).

Its going to be used to chuck some metal lures for tailor,little poppers for whiting and most of all breaming
