Bling or fish?

G'day fellow BMM, my fiancée and I are on the home stretch of a 6 week EU holiday and we have 3 or 4 days in Singapore on our return leg to Darwin...... so I was wondering - should I buy some new gear or splash out and do a charter somewhere ? I KNOW the manly/ logical answer would be do both but after 5 and a bit weeks in Europe I can only justify one or the other..... Thoughts?????

You should be able to get some decent lures and terminal tackle in Singapore..

Not sure about a charter there, but it may be worth a shot..

Rompin Sails would be the only worthwhile fishing to to around there. otherwise just buy more gear cos you dont have enough.

I was just in Singapore/Malaysia couple of weeks ago. I thought I'd get some gear there but depending on the models, they can be more expensive than here in Oz. Most Shimano reels there are price controlled by Shimano themselves so not much leeway from the shops.

Cheers

Cheers for the replies guys, I think I will just purchase some terminal tackle and check some reel prices to see if there is a decent saving and put the rest towards fuel money for a weeks fishing in Arhnemland's Cobourg Pennisular next month if the rain holds off. ( not sure how I am getting the time off work yet ). The fiancée has given the green light, so that's the hard part done. ANY takers to tag along ????Brad - you do a decent blog, good chance to upgrade that harbour Barra and see the proper NT country...
