What size motor?
Hi,
I am starting to get my 3.65m Clarke Cutter set up for use in BREAM tournaments and would like some information on size of motor needed to enter. As far as I can gather a 20hp is the minimum requirement. Is this correct? And will this also suit the requirements of other rules ie planing with two people and full livewell? The motor I have currently is a 1974 6hp Evinrude which couldn't pull the skin of a cold custard! Regards Marc

Sorry to be a party pooper Marc, but from all the rules I've seen you need a minimum 3.7m boat to enter the comps.
The best way to clarify this would be to ring the A.B.T. guys (if you're in the east) or send Ira a P.M. if you are in the west (there's no location in your profile). You may also still be able to pick up a copy of the Tournament guide from your local newsagency. A.B.T: 0732683992 Cheers,
