What loop knot?

Hey fishos.
Just wondering what loop knots people prefer to connect their hard bodies to the leader, and why?

For me, I like the Lefty's loop. Why? - Because I can tie it. I can never remember if it's over, under over, or under over, under, for the perfection loop.

The Lewis Loop, featured in the last issue of sport fish DVD. Because it's rediculously easy to tie and stronger than all the rest... And I invented it

Without getting that DVD, is there any instructions on how to tie that knot? Google failed me.

Personally I do not like loop knots at all, especially when fishing lighter leaders 4lb and under. I have lost too many fish using them

The only problem I've had is the loop slipping through the eyes of the jig head when using 4 and under

I have had the split ring rub through the leader when hooked up to some good fish, and that was using high quality leader. I thought the first time maybe it was just a one off, but after the second time and another good fish lost the same way, I decided to stop using it. That was using leftys loop, can't say I am too keen on trying the other loops if it will leave me as disappointed as the other one.

Thanks stella fella.

I think I can follow that...
Looks complicated (I'm a simple sort of bloke), but I'll give it a try at home in the lounge room to see if I can learn it.

Anyone have any problems with lefty's loop? How does strength rate compared to other loop knots, in say 6lb FC?

edit. above post appeared while I was writing this one.
MattyA - I take it you mistrust loop knots in general, not the Leftys in particular?

Okay fair enough, that's why losing the split rings is sometimes a good idea unless your going to tie straight onto them as you do but even so prob better of using a clip and getting rid of the split.

It's pretty common knowledge that you should never ever tie to a split ring mate.

One was to a jighead and another to a split ring. Should have been a bit more specific sorry.
