Certate question

There seems to be a few places that have Certates on sale at the moment so I'm thinking of getting one and my first Daiwa for a long time.
My question is that I want to put it on my dsr820 glx and what would be the best size ? My 2500 Stella feels a touch big for the rod and my 1000 Sustain pretty much lives on another rod as it seems a bit small. I'm not real sure on Daiwa reel sizes but have noticed they seem a bit bigger than Shimano sizes.
Thanks.

The 2000 certate will be the go I reckon. Will fit neatly between the 1000/2500 shimano reels you mentioned.

Really depends on the chances of big bycatch. A 2004 holds 100m +/- of 4lb braid, a 2000 holds 150m of 8lb +/-, which should be enough for a reasonable Jew or any decent fish that can take a decent run.

i used the 2000 certate on that exact rod for a while and they pair up nicely, its has 4kg of drag and ive used it for everything from breaming to jewies nudging the meter mark.

I'll check them out and take the rod in with me I guess. The line capacity of the 2000 size sounds about right. I'm going to put 6 lb braid on it.

I only just recently used someone elses Certate and fell instantly in love with it.

So much so, I have actually purchased 3 in the past 2 weeks and have a 2013 model on it's way.

Can't say I have ever used such a smooth reel - Now i'm going to be hesitant to use anything less than one.

I'm looking forward to getting mine. This will be my first Daiwa for a long time. Ive always had Shimano and they have served me well. I got a 2500 Stella a few months back and its by far the nicest reel I've used. It will interesting to see how the Certate goes in comparison.

Between my exists, stellas and certates its incrediably difficult to decide which one to use so more often than no I bring all 3 along with me. What I use depends on my mood. imo the Certate and Stella are allrounders whereas the exist being so light lends itself to longer sessions when I'm spending 5-6hrs through light HBs around.
I would suggest u get the exist 2506 as your next reel
