Sustain, Sol or Luvias

Looking at either of these three reels to go with a Nitro Vapor 70.
Leaning toward the Sustain 1000 as I've never had Daiwa.
Has anyone used the new Sol or would a Luvias be a better choice.

cheers Sean

Mate I have all 3 reels you mention and also a few 7' vapors. In my opinion the Luvias DA custom 1000 is the best match. It balances perfectly. It sh1ts all over the sustain. I use the sustain as a guests reel or a paper weight.

I guess the thing to do would be to put them on the rod and make a decision from there. I've never had a Daiwa so I'm not too sure about which one would suit.

Something around the 200-225gm mark should be perfect. I found a 210gm 1000 shimano was magnificent on a 6'6 vapor. The new sol might be a bit heavy at 240gms, I'd look at the new luvius 2506. If they're like the silver ones or better they're a great finesse reel. It also comes down to what size reels you prefer/possible by catch-line capacity.

I have a 7' Nitro Vapour which has had a few different reels on it. Mostly it wears a Stella 1000, which is great to use. I have used a Luvias 1000 on it as well and that felt good also. They're both very lightweight reels. I also have a Sustain 1000, but, so far, I haven't tried it on the 7' Nitro Vapour, but I can't see why it wouldn't do a reasonable job too.

Out of the reels you've mentioned, I'd go for the Luvias 1000 personally. I would also seriously consider a Certate 1003.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'd have a Stella if I had the cash for it. I guess I could save a bit more and get one later. Will check the Luvias as well.

I'd look at the new caldia also.
There are a few overseas sites doing them cheap at the moment. I've heard great things from guys that own them.

Wouldn't go the new Sol. Isn't fully Ziaon and is heavier than the Caldia. Go with the new Luvias or 2011 Caldia.
