GoPro accessories- what are your must haves for fishing??

hey all got a couple of GoPro's recently and I was wondering what mounts and accessories are must have's for fishing.

I want a couple of ideas on how to make a pole?

are the head straps or chest straps worthwhile? or are you better off just sticking with the suction mounts?

where is the best/cheapest place to get the suction mounts? Also how much confidence do you have in the Suction mounts? could u stick them to the side of your boat underwater and be sure they wont go anywhere?

Cheers Clay

I have a pole and a wrist attachment, but looking into getting a head mount or mount it at the front of the boat.

On a serious note Clay,
there are a number of pole you can get from bunnings, painting poles are the best as they are light and you can extend them as well.

Handle bar and roll cage mounts are very good for clamping a number of different diameter poles.

Get a heap of flat adhesive mounts and place these in different spots over the boat.

You can make your own cap mount if you want as well.

The mrs hair dryer came in handy when getting the mounts off the boat to move. Heat it up and peels right off, even re stuck the second time I placed in on the boat.

Got my Black Edition just before Christmas...Thanks Rhys and Lusty Industries!.

I'm definately going to get the LCD backpack so you can frame up properly and a spare battery too.

And one of those sick, remote helicopters to attach it to....not really but that would be mint!

Phil

The wifi back pack and remote is very cool, can see live what's being recorded via any device with wifi (iPhone) and control the camera via the remote on wrist or via the phone.

I got the tripod mount and duck taped it to the net, where the netting meets the shaft, you can see the picture and how it goes through my youtube videos

I Got a Gecko suction cap mount, rated to 100kph and will take most cameras (dslr) for the go pro, just buy the attachement and it will fit straight away. Great for relocating around the boat. I had mine mounted on the hull, looking down along the water...on the windscreen, the motor, the deck, the gunnels...the car dash, outside of the car, boat trailer...

Wireless remote, those with black models will already ahve this. a bit glitchy but worthwhile none the less

LCD touch back panel, awesome! allows you to change settings easily, replay, delete and review what your actually trying to frame...

Going to make a pole mount up but not sure if i really need it or not...
