Transam rod

Just curious to see what everyone else is using for throwing transams or threads busters?

I've been using a Daiwa black label technical. The 6-14 lb model. It's more like a 10-20lb tho. Throw bigger vibes fine and works them without folding in half.

I am a big spin fanatic but only use BC for my threadybuster work as it allows so much more control on the drop and hop. Something nice and crisp around the 10-16lb range would be ample. One of the best vibe rods i have used would be a Battler nighthawk as the tip folds away nicely on the hop but still has enough grunt on call for instant hooksets.

I agree with Tristan, for any searching baits like bigger cranks, spinnerbaits or vibes the direct feel of baitcaster is much preferable.

After doing a bit of research I've just ordered a St croix legend extrreme 10-17lb casting for pretty much this exact purpose. Was a toss up between this, a dobyns champ extreme and an nrx.
