An Idea for the Mods

Just want to start by saying this is the number 1 forum for bream fishing and most other light line advice,

But i have had an idea

So many threads are just rehashes on what has been covered so many times, this is no-ones fault, as new comers all want to know whats the best leader, line, hard, soft etc.

Just an idea, but how about a sticky at the top of each forum for "Best" or "top 5" and the year.

So the line forum would be "best braid 2012"
Hard forum would be "top 5 hards 2012"

Would stop alot of same, same threads and would also be cool to look back on how preferences change.

Just an idea,

Good idea however, this was recently suggested on another forum I frequent but as was pointed out the answers change fairly often.
Lures seem to go out of fashion & new ones come along.

my 2 cents.

I have a suspicion that a lot of these "repeat" questions get asked by new-ish members not just for information but also to communicate/connect/interact with others and possibly "meet" new people with like-minded interests.... If it was just information, you could get that googling. Perhaps, its also a way to find out (indirectly) how friendly or like-minded a particular site is and that'll determine if they'd then continue on at that site or move on...

Hmm good point.
Never thought of this.

However i think the answers they get will be somewhat diluted, as not every member will repost there advice over and over again.

Not bad idea but i think a social thing would be good State to State.Meets or something like that.
I think alot of the stuff is the same just different gear. madeye sounds like something different i guess this site needs something new.
