Snapped tip

Hi guys,
snapped the tip on my loomis dropshot about 100mm down .
can this be fixed?
I looked at the loomis warranty but it says you now need proof of purchase to get it fixed which i dont have.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not really much you can do to repair a snapped graphite rod I'm afraid. About all you can do is glue a new tip guide in place & see how it goes. It will be useable but I think you will be disappointed with the action of the rod now & end up replacing it.

Usually it will be average
As Stella said racks rod or pontoons as it will shorten it up and make it stiffer
But not always the case. Sometimes it will be better for you or your style of fishing.
At 100mm it would be around the first guide. Get guide removed
And throw the tip on it
give it a flick and see how you go.

Thanks guys,
yep i did the same with my old precision x and its alright, so i will just shorten it.
yerr not the best feeling stella fella. Snapping a megabass would really suck aswell.
Are these rods still available? or have they been discontinued.
Has been my favourite rod by a long shot

Just looking at the loomis site and it says u need proof of purchase for their standard warranty service , i.e. faulty workmanship, but I cant find any info about the expeditor warranty.
I may be wrong but I always thought that u dont need proof of purchase for the expeditor.
A mate of mine worked in a shop that sells loomis, I'll get onto him and ask.
