Baitcaster for Bream?

Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a Baitcaster but I have know idea which one to choose. I would like it to have the guts to pull Bream out of racks and to pull Bass out of snags. I have heard that Abu Garcia are very good when it comes to Baitcasters but I like the look of the new Daiwa. Looking at spending about $250. A rod to suit would be great too any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Anders

Dobyns champion extreme 4-10lb for the rod, diawa alphas or pixy for the real

Edit- just saw your price range... Not sure what there is in the way of ultra light to fit that price bracket

I don't want something too light haha want to pull the big Bream out of the oyster racks. The $250 is the max I'm spending on the reel. I don't have a price range for the rod but I'd say $100 - $170? would that buy a decent set up?

bait casters are no good for bream as they stugle to cast weights under 4 grams

a daiwa pixy is the only bc truly capable of casting light weights, but its well over your price range, and you will get birds nests casting into the wind.

I don't think you'll find a set up that will cast bream lures as far as you want for that price mate. You'll get a nice set up for throwing heavier lures, but a rod and reel capable of throwing bream sized lures effectively is a bit more pricey

To throw small bream lures you are best off with a decent spinning reel, the only baitcasters that i'm aware of that will comfortably flick a small lure are $$$$.

I'd get maybe a Aird combo, should set you back around $200 with braid.

or a symettre and raider combo, depending on the rod you choose it will have plenty of grunt for bass and racks work.

I use a 2500 aird matched with a Vamp II rod - about $250-$300 for the combo @ RRP.

Bummer. Oh well, could you get a decent Bass set up for that price? Or do I need to spend more again?

Do you use it for Bream in the racks?

Putting good quality line on there wouldn't help?

Nup, I bought a Curado 50 start with and it casts bass lures ok, not a chance in hell I could use it to cast bream lures... Now my alphas matched on a good rod I can cast a jackall chubby more than far enough to bream fishing with. To be able to cast really light lures the money has to go into a fitness reel and a good rod to match.

So if I were to buy fitness rod and reel how much would I be looking at?
