Land based flatts fishing tips?

This weekend I'm heading to the tin can bay seafood festival and then to fish the sand flats, land based behind it. I'll be using plastics and hardbodues but I was wondering if there's any specifics I should be using eg. Colours, gulp/z-mans
Cheers zc

I think sorting your tidal influence with the time you will be fishing will be what's most important mate

+1, you want to make sure there's going to be water on the flats when you go fishing.
try and stick with natural colours as most fish on the flats will spook easier than if they were hanging deeper. as for the brands, use whatever you feel more confident with

Cheers guys I've had a peek at my anglers almanac and the tide times books and it all looks fairly decent. But not too great either. Ill end up sticking to using z-mans grubz 2.5inch in the watermelon and maybe some gulp prauns. If there's any gt around maybe even a surface lure you never know. Has happened before

The water will most likely be pretty clear so....
Long, light leaders or even fluorocarbon straight through.
Natural lure colours.
A good set of polarised sunglasses.
A bit of wind chopping up the surface is a big help.
