Sunline PE help.

Hi all, I am going to put some sunline PE on my 2500 shimano. I fish LB around flats, jetties, boat hulls etc. I am not overly experienced with braid, so I was wondering which poundage I should go? 6lb or 8lb?
Also which poundage leader? (fc rock)
Cheers

If I was you, I would go 6lb with a 4 or 6lb leader... You should be right with that but go with your instinct with the braid..

if your gonna use Sunline super pe dont go under 8lb or your gonna be dealing with mega wind knots, if you use castaway you can use 12lb as its the same diameter as 8lb super pe

Mate I used 6lb PE with 4lb leader in 40Kmh winds at Walpole at the weekend, without 1 wind knot, secret is line conditioner.

power pro in 5lb has served me well, breaks alot higher. but it fluffs up abit after a while. i have 6lb sunline super pe on a sienna 1000 and havent had a problem, but dont fish in overly heavy winds. fc rock in 6lb is all i use for my breaming gear.

3lb-4lb flats heavier around structure. Don't get 6lb Sunline to start with especially if you have not used Braid, If you want it to be hassle free go 8lb mate, i've used both for a long time and never had an issue with 8lb but have had plenty with 6lb.

+1 on the 8lb. You'll love it and it casts miles.

IMO even better than the Sunline is the Daiwa Egi Sensor in 12lb which is 8lb diameter. Best light braid I've used but costs considerably more than the Sunline PE

No worries, thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Will go 8lb braid, and 6lb leader to start, and I may move down to 4lb.
Cheers.
