Motor advice
Hi all. Just chasing some feedback info on the Evinrude E tec series? my mate's thinking of buying one for his 5.3 tinny. Who's happy? Who's ticked off. Thanks in advance.

Its a bit like asking whats better Ford or Holden...Holden
. Intawebs full of threads debating this. Some quite heated. Theres some vocal fans of etec but they seem outnumbered, whether that means anything I dont know. Not sure Id go 300 hours without a service myself.Does your mate have an Evinrude dealer nearby? If not Id buy what I can get help with locally. |

Love my 30 etec. It's super quiet, very efficient and has balls!

Had a 90 on my old boat. When it came time to choose a motor my for current boat I went with exactly the same motor- 90 etec. Very reliable, very fuel efficient, very very low oil use, quiet at idle. Have not got one complaint after buying both of them. Will buy another for sure.
