What lures are you using mate? Gear? Type of structure your fishing? Can't help you with Sydney but with a bit more info may be able to help with techniques ect.

There have been some pretty extensive threads on this topic. Have a look around and you'll find a heap of usefel info.
This thread was a good one: http://www.breammaster.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=44448\

Good luck in your pursuit. Once you get one you'll never turn back, and your wallet may loose a bit of weight

Perhaps if you gave some more specific areas where you fish someone could help you. The others are right check out "help me catch a bream on a lure pleaseeeeeeeeee" or something like that and you'll hit the ground running.
Sorry mate I don't fish Sydney.

Ummm... I fish around Iron Cove, Parramatta River, Five Dock Bay, etc. I have a little Shimano Catana (for now) and I’m looking for a new reel which will hopefully be spooled with 6 pound braid. I use plenty of squidgy and gulp plastics and as for hard bodies I have a fair amount of top water lures e.g. Bushy's Stiffy Popper, heaps of random poppers and just a bunch of random diving lures but off the top of my head I know I have 3 or 4 Rapala Countdowns, a couple of shallow diving lures and a couple of deep diving lures (sorry cannot remember the brands).

The lures you mention might be OK on bream but you could probably do better.
The best advice I can give you is read through the threads in the Bream Lure section on this site. Thats where you'll find out whats hot and whats not.

I will not give out specific spots. I found 2'' pepperprawn shrimp on size 2 1/20th TT jigheads works good in those dirty waters. 4 pound flurocarbon leader 2 mtrs long. Chuck the plastic out, let it hit the bottom and sit for 5 secconds then give it a little hop and sit for 5 secconds

If you cant catch them along the bank you are probably not moving around enough. Specific spots will not help you, You need the confidence to be able to catch them almost anywhere. The confidence only comes with experience.

How old are you? you should try to hook up with someone for a fish and try to learn from them.

Cheers
Chris

I checked your profile. There are other kids your age that fish with lures for bream in that area.

Like the other guys said there are a lot of threads on this subject. My advice would be to find a lure you know will catch bream, there are plenty, and just cast like there is no tomorrow. You won't catch bream while your tying on lures, the more time it's in the water the better your chances. secondly, don't be afraid to move, find some structure, cast like crazy and if you’re not getting any hits move on to the next spot.
