looking for a new bass outfit!

hey everyone I am looking into getting a new bass bait caster combo. For a reel what do you guys think of the new daiwa t3 ballistics? or the t3 1016 and also looking for a rod wanting one around 6'-6'6 in about 3-7kg rating what would you recommend also want it so I can use it in salt water as well don't want to spend over $650ish.

Are alphas r fresh water only?

cheers

For the rod I'd be going for a loomis. Honestly, for a bass outfit I'd be looking for funtctionality over bling, and thats what a loomis is in my books. Look at the imx 722 or 723 or the mossyback range. The mossybacks have a nice light tip though have incrdeible power through the butt and can pull a big bass out of tight cover when needed. If you happy to further sacrifice the bling factor for a bit of functionallity then the best reel would be an e series curado. I know people who catch crocs with these and say there still as good as the day before. Yes crocs pull.
+ I don't think the alphas r's are freshwater. At least I know of people who use them in salt.

The alphas r edition are saltwater safe.. And th g loomis mossybacks are awesome rOds. I've got a 10-14lb 6ft8 and it's a great rod. Quite tippy but definitely heaps of power in the butt. The curados are great reels as well. Especially the last model. I had a 50 size and it was awesome. Would make a great bass reel.. Tough as nails as well

Take a look at the Daiwa blacklabel 641MLRB. Very powerful, sensitive and light. Casts very nicely.

IMO if ur gona be casting 4gms a lot go spin gear. I've had alphas r editions curados and now a zillion type r edition. It really is a pain sometimes trying to throw finesse stuff with baitcasters especially if the wind kicks up..

Dobyns champion extreme 6-12lb and an alphas. I use this exact combo and can cast jackall chubbies more than far enough to go creek bassing. It use it to cast stuff around 7g at squire in the bay casting 25m+ quite easily. It'll stretch the budget but worth it
