night fishing

I went out on Friday night in the Swan for a quick fish.

Started up at Windan bridge and threw some Lures about whilst my GF used prawns. I got bugger all but there was a few nibbles on the prawn and apparantley one big hit which didn't hold.

After that we went down to the causeway and fished the pylons. Since it was dark by that stage i used the prawns.

My point to this thread is do lures work effectively at night?? cause i gave them a go also and there was still bugger all. There where fish about because i caught one small bream on prawn and got a lot of nudges and nibbles.

If night fishing for bream on lure, what sort of lures are most effective????

Cheers

Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Mate i do a deal of fishing in sydney and i find that my best results come when i fish near lights, whether under a bridge or just along the bay.
Ive found addding sent works well and the darker the plastic the better.
Just my opinion hope it helps
