Daiwa Exist hyper branzino 2508R, worth the money?
Hi guys, anyone got an exist hyper branzino 2508R that can give me some feedback on them? I have an old exist 2506 but was looking for something wit a little more strength to possibly use for the natives. I saw one on ebay for 950 it says they are usually 1140 but im not sure if this is true. I was thinking if i could get one for around 900 this would be an ok deal but just looking for some feedback first. Also i think that my exist spool will fit also if i wanted to have 2 spools with me.

I don,t think it would be any tougher as such
the only difference is exist branz hyper run hyper digigears rather then std the 2506 only has 3kg of drag. You can buy another spool as you say rcs 2500(more line capacity 7kg drag) or rcs 2508 (shallow spool 7kg drag) or Possible daiwa might even have a exist 2508 spool in stock which will have 7kg drag drop the new spool on the exist you currently have and you have the option and more drag at a cost of $120+line (approx) if you wanted tougher gears.Send it away to Daiwa and have a set of hyper digigears put in you exist. |

Have u had any dramas with the exist reel? As in the side chrome plate flaking off and bubbling?

With the chrome on both exists and steez's you need to wash it down carefully both inside and outside, as saltwater will cause corrosion to the chrome plating.
The branzino 2508 reel is an amazing reel, that could comfortably fish for anything from bream to small-medium sized pelagics. I got mine for $900 and that was after I did some seriously hard bargaining. Worth every cent though.

Is the Morethan Branzino similar?
You can get them for $750 from Ray Annes. |
